Scott Carrell joined the faculty at Dartmouth College in 2005 and is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics and the Director of the Policy Research Shop at the Nelson A. Rockefeller Center for Public Policy and the Social Sciences. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Florida in 2003. Before coming to Dartmouth, he taught at the U.S. Air Force Academy for two years and served as the Senior Economist for Public Finance and Labor on the staff of the President's Council of Economic Advisers during the summer of 2004. He also served as an active duty officer in the U.S. Air Force for over 10 years. He specializes in the fields of labor economics, economics of education, and public economics.
