Peter Singer is a Senior Fellow in Foreign Policy Studies and Director of the Project on U.S. Relations with the Islamic World at the Brookings Institution.
He is author of Children at War (Pantheon, 2005), and Corporate Warriors: The Rise of the Privatized Military Industry (Cornell, 2003), winner of the 2004 Gladys M. Kammerer Award for the best political science publication in the previous calendar year in the field of U.S. national policy from American Political Science Association.
Previously, Singer has been a Doctoral Fellow at Harvard University, Action Officer in the Balkans Task Force for the Secretary of Defense, and Special Assistant at the International Peace Academy.
Singer received an A.B. from Princeton University in 1997, and a Ph.D. from Harvard in 2001.
