2007-08 Events
Of all the activities it supports, perhaps the Mershon Center for International Security Studies is best known for its large array of events. These include lecture series that bring in distinguished scholars, interdisciplinary conferences and workshops, and seminars for graduate and undergraduate students.

Jeffrey Sachs, Director of the United Nations Millennium Project, presented to about 750 faculty, staff and students at the Ohio Union on Oct. 3, 2006. Sachs spoke on "The End of Poverty," the Millennium Development Goals to reduce extreme poverty, disease, and hunger by the year 2015. A video of his talk is in the archived Event Page. |
