Nicholas Bamforth is a Fellow in Law at Queen's College, Oxford University. His areas of specialization include constitutional and administrative law, European Community law, human rights, and philosophy of law.

Bamforth is author or editor of three books and more than 40 articles on a range of constitutional and human rights topics. His books include:
• Sexuality, Morals and Justice (Cassell, 1997), which re-examines arguments about the role of law in the regulation of morality in light of contemporary law reform debates.
• Public Law in a Multi-Layered Constitution (Oxford, 2003), which examines the effects of recent constitutional changes in the exercise of power by public bodies in Britain.
Sex Rights: The Oxford Amnesty Lectures (Oxford, 2005), which explores the connections between human rights, gender, and sexuality.

Bamforth has a B.A. in Jurisprudence, B.C.L., and M.A., all from Oxford University. He has previously worked at University College London and Cambridge. In 2003-4, he was a Hauser Global Research Fellow at New York University.
