Tom O'Donnell is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, with appointments in the Center for Middle East and North African Studies; Science, Technology and Society Program; Michigan Center for Theoretical Physics; and Residential College.
O'Donnell makes frequent presentations on global oil trade, energy technologies, and their role in world politics.
O'Donnell is currently preparing The New Globalized Oil System and the Middle East, an analysis of the political economy of cooperative global market practices and institutions
developing between OPEC states and the First World, their geostrategic and political implications for the United States, Eurpoean Union, Middle East and North African, especially in the Iraq War and Iran crisis.
