Teaching/Research
Dr. Grimsley’s teaching and research interests include 19th century American history and military history, with a specialization in the Civil War era. Two of the courses he has taught at the Army War College include "American Insurgencies:  The Struggle for Black Liberation in the South, 1865-1965" and "Theory of War and Strategy."
