Mershon Center for International Security Studies

The Mershon Center for International Security Studies welcomes applications for (up to two) self-funded visiting researchers for a stay of up to a year. We will provide office space, library access, computing privileges, some administrative assistance, as well as reimbursement of up to $2,000 for research and academic-related travel. We will also cover visa application costs, if required. Mershon visitors are expected to attend Mershon Center events, interact with other Mershon affiliated faculty, participate in the intellectual life of The Ohio State University, and present an informal seminar on their research during the early part of their visit.

Application Materials:

  • Completed application, including 1) a description of the research to be conducted during the visit, 2) names of Mershon affiliates who may be interested in your research and 3) two references
  • Writing sample
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Visa information (if required)
