Teaching/Research
Allan Silverman is professor of philosophy at The Ohio State University specializing in ancient philosophy, metaphysics, ethics, and late Wittgenstein. He is author of The Dialectic of Essence: A Study of Plato's Metaphysics (Princeton University Press, 2003). His articles have appeared in Social Philosophy and Policy, Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy, Oxford Studies in Ancient Philosophy, and Classical Quarterly.
