How have Arab states and publics responded to the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel and Israel's subsequent war on Gaza?  How has this affected the prospects for Arab-Israeli peace and normalization?  Will the Gaza war escalated into a broader regional war? And how does the crisis affect American standing in the region?  This talk will put the Gaza war into the broader context of changing Middle Eastern regional politics and American foreign policy, and discuss possible future trajectories for regional order.
