Divided Community Project's Carl Smallwood appointed to ABA Task Force
Congratulations to Carl Smallwood, director of the Mershon-partnered Divided Community Project, who was recently selected to chair the Advisory Commission of the American Bar Association's (ABA) Task Force for American Democracy. The ABA announced the creation of the task force and advisory commission at its annual meeting in August. The overall goal of the initiative is to examine ways to improve public trust in the American election system. Smallwood will chair the 25-member advisory commission.
The ABA formed the Task Force for American Democracy, chaired by former Judge J. Michael Luttig and ex-Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Charles Johnson, to enhance public trust in the US election system.
