The 2023 Military Frontiers Graduate Symposium is bi-yearly held in conjunction with the Mershon Center for International Security Studies and the America in the World Consortium. This conference showcases the scholarship of a dozen graduate students across three panels, all of whom study topics broadly related to national security, warfare, and force and power in international affairs. By bringing together emerging scholars in different fields working on similar topics, the conference aims to promote communication and cooperation across academic disciplines. Panel topics this year include US Policy Toward the Middle East, Great Power Competition, and Race and National Security in the US. Delivering this year’s Sean Judge Memorial Lecture will be Mary Elise Sarotte from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
