The January 3rd "Operation Absolute Resolve" U.S. strikes on Venezuela will have long-term repercussions, locally and globally. In this forum, faculty affiliates of the Mershon Center for International Security Studies will offer a range of perspectives informed by law, history, geography, and political science. We’ll consider the law of armed conflict, drug interdiction in the Caribbean, global resource competition and the oil economy, spheres-of-influence doctrine and anti-imperialist movements, and more. Come with questions!

This program is cosponsored by the Ohio State Center for Latin American Studies.
