Join the Alexander Hamilton Society and the Mershon Center for International Security Studies on Tuesday, November 9 at 6:30 p.m. for a discussion with David McCormick, CEO of Bridgewater Associates, who will discuss the challenges to American leadership, both at home and abroad, and how innovation and virtuous leadership can renew the country. The discussion will feature Mershon Senior faculty Fellows Rick Herrmann and Peter Mansoor as moderator.

Speaker: David McCormick
David McCormick is the CEO of Bridgewater Associates. Prior to Bridgewater, he was the US Treasury Under Secretary for International Affairs in the George W. Bush Administration during the global financial crisis, and also had senior roles on the National Security Council and in the Department of Commerce.
Previously, David served as CEO and then President of two publicly-traded software companies, and before that was a consultant at McKinsey & Company. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy, a veteran of the First Gulf War, and has a Ph.D. from Princeton’s School of Public and International Affairs.

This event is cohosted between the Mershon Center's American Foreign and Military Policy Research Cluster and The Alexander Hamilton Society, an independent, non-partisan, not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting constructive debate on basic principles and contemporary issues in foreign, economic, and national security policy. The organization is advised by Mershon Senior Faculty Fellow and cluster leader Peter Mansoor.
