Arctic Encounter Summit

Eda Ayadin 2025
Mershon Postdoctoral Visiting Fellow, Malaurie Institute of Arctic Research researcher, and University of London Institute in Paris teaching fellow Dr. Eda Ayaydin.

“This year’s Arctic Encounter will be one of the most significant to date, given ongoing geopolitical shifts, heightened attention to Greenland, and the evolving direction of U.S. Arctic policy,” said Dr. Ayaydin. “Washington’s new hardline approach toward Russia is also likely to carry critical implications for the region. As a researcher, these discussions are essential for understanding America’s Arctic posture and the broader regional dynamics.”

AES is the largest annual Arctic policy and business event in the United States. It aims to confront the shared interests and concerns of the United States and the global community. Policymakers, diplomats, indigenous leaders, industry innovators, diverse stakeholders, national security officials, and leading experts from the science, technology, maritime, research, startup, investment, health, and energy sectors come together at AES to challenge the status quo dialogue, critically address challenges, and collaborate on solutions.
