Congratulations to Mershon Center Faculty Fellow, Nicholas Breyfogle, Department of History, who was recently awarded the Herbert Feis Award for distinguished contributions to public history. Established in 1984, this prize is named in memory of Herbert Feis (1893–1972), public servant and historian of recent American foreign policy. This prize is offered annually to recognize distinguished contributions to public history, broadly defined. Breyfogle has taught numerous history courses at Ohio State, is the author of nine books, and is a co-editor of Origins: Current Events in Historical Perspective.
