Erin Lin receives APSA awards
Erin Lin, assistant professor of Political Science and Global Food Politics and Mershon affiliate, received two 2025 Organized Section awards from the American Political Science Association (APSA).
Lin was the recipient of the Giovanni Sartori Book Award from Organized Section 37, Qualitative and Multi-Method Research. She was also the co-recipient, with Nirvikar Jassal from the London School of Economics and Political Science, of the Politics of Marginalization and Inclusion Award, also from Organized Section 37.
The goals of Section 37 are to promote research and training focused on the several branches of methodology associated with the qualitative tradition; and to strive for an integrated understanding of these diverse methods and of their relationship to quantitative methods.
In an effort to bring attention to exceptional scholarship, many of APSA Organized Sections have established awards. Currently, there are awards honoring dissertations, papers, articles, books, and career achievement. Winners are selected by member committees appointed by the chair or an executive committee of the section. The organized section recognizes winners at its annual business meetings, which are held in conjunction with the APSA Annual Meeting.
