Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. Congratulations to everyone who received funding during the Mershon Center’s Autumn 2025 grant cycle!

Faculty members from nine departments are pursuing research projects related to national or international human security:

Margaret Price (Department of English) received funding to support a residency in May 2027.  Dr. Stina Ericsson (University of Gothenburg), Dr. Per Olof Hedvall (Mid-Sweden University), and Dr. Anna Vogel (Stockholm University) will come to Ohio State to continue a long-term, multi-layered collaboration around the complex problem of access, engaging national policies, higher education, municipal initiatives, and nonprofit advocacy efforts. 

In addition, Mershon is helping to bring two important journals to Ohio State. Stay tuned.
