
Chenab is the largest of the five tributaries of River Indus. It flows from the Himalayas of Himachal Pradesh, India to the plains of Pakistan where it is met by Jhelum, Sutlej and Ravi before meeting the Indus. The basin is rich in biological and cultural diversity and showcases the unique syncretism of the Indus basin. Impact of climate change, melting glaciers, recurrent disasters, changing water dynamics is affecting a vast population of the Chenab Basin. Diversity of the basin also holds a key to diverse and site-specific solutions. 'People's Story of Chenab' is a way to understand the Chenab, its issues, and its unique solutions, through the eyes of its inhabitants.
