Charles Laubach is a doctoral student specializing in military history at The Ohio State University.  His interests include the intersection of diplomacy and military force, as well as civil-military relations.  His current research focuses on American military intervention in the former-Yugoslavia with an emphasis on the use of aerial bombing as an instrument of coercive diplomacy.
